The Transliteration Engine (“TE”) is a cloud-based application developed and provided by Malcolm Sokol, doing business as I_Sokie Enterprises (the “Developer”). The User is granted a limited, conditional, non-transferable license to access and use TE, subject to acceptance of these Terms and Conditions during the registration process.
1. User Identification. The User must provide a valid and verifiable email address, which will serve as the User's registered User ID and may be used to authenticate subsequent access to TE.
2. OpenAI API Account. The User must provide a valid OpenAI API key associated with an OpenAI account having sufficient credits or other authorization to make the API calls required by TE. Charges associated with the User's OpenAI account and API usage are the responsibility of the User.
3. Submitted Images and Copyright. A User utilizing TE's Optical Character Recognition (“OCR”) features represents that the User is legally permitted to submit and process the images or other materials provided to TE and that doing so does not violate applicable copyright or other intellectual-property rights.
4. Accuracy of Results. The User understands that neither the OCR features nor the transliteration features of TE are guaranteed to produce error-free results. No representation or warranty is made that OCR, Hebrew text recognition, transliteration, or other processing results will be complete or free from errors. Users are responsible for reviewing generated results before relying upon or distributing them.
5. Access to TE. Access to TE may be suspended, blocked, or revoked by the Developer at any time, with or without prior notice.
6. Electronic Communications. The User understands that registration, authentication, account administration, and subsequent access to TE may require communication through the email address supplied as the User ID. Delivery of such communications may be affected by limitations or policies imposed by the User's email provider or other third-party service providers.
7. Administrative Communications. By registering, the User agrees that the Developer may send email communications reasonably related to TE, including authentication messages, notices concerning the User's registration or access, service-status information, and information concerning updates or changes to TE.
8. Intellectual Property. All rights, title, and interest in TE's original software, source code, application design, processing logic, documentation, and other original materials remain with the Developer. Registration grants the User only a limited, conditional, non-transferable right to access and use TE. No ownership interest or right to copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit TE or its underlying code is granted to the User.
9. Third-Party Services and Materials. TE utilizes or interacts with third-party services and may be guided by third-party standards, publications, or other materials. Nothing in these Terms claims ownership by the Developer of such third-party services, standards, publications, or materials. All rights in third-party materials remain with their respective owners.
10. Limitation of Liability. TE is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for consequential, incidental, indirect, or similar damages, including loss or corruption of data, arising from the use of or inability to use TE. The User is responsible for maintaining appropriate copies or backups of material submitted to or generated through TE.
11. Acceptance. By completing registration and indicating acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, the User acknowledges having read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
